Worship &
Services

All our churches are open for worship, and All Saints’ Botley is open during the week 9am-5pm for prayer.

Every Sunday we hold a number of Regular Services across our three churches, and at times via Zoom too.  In addition we have Special Services throughout the year in keeping with Christian Festivals.

Regular and Special Services

Details of upcoming services can be found on the calendar list on this page. For other events please see the events calendar

Following the pandemic, for the time being bread given at communion will be dipped (intincted) in wine rather than the cup of wine being shared.

Currently we are offering a Zoom service on the 1st Sunday of each month at 10am but please check the latest information for any changes. There is also an Evening prayer Zoom service on the 2nd Sunday at 6.30pm. For links please contact Karen in the Church Office.

Service types

CW Holy Communion. This is a service where bread and wine is shared following the Common Worship order of service using modern language. There are no hymns or music at this service, nor childrens’ activities. Currently this is bread only owing to Coronavirus restrictions.

BCP Holy Communion. This is similar to the CW Holy Communion but the words used are the traditional ones from the Book of Common Prayer.

Service at Durley School. Morning worship at the school rather than at the church. Do come and join us!

Parish Communion. This is a service where bread and wine is shared and we follow the Common Worship order of service with hymns and music which includes a choir in Botley. There are usually groups for children to attend during the service. The service can be followed by a Baptism (Christening) service but is not part of the service itself. Coffee and biscuits are served afterwards.

Morning Worship This is a more informal all age service starting with coffee and croissants. Do come and join us

United Parish Communion. This is the same as the Parish Communion where we all join together and takes place in one of our 3 churches.

Choral Evensong. This is the traditional service from the Book of Common Prayer with music led by All Saints’ Choir.

Zoom Evening Prayer. This is a short 20 minute online service which follows the words of traditional or modern Evening Prayer.

Special Services

In addition to our regular services there are special services and events that are held in our churches and elsewhere, or online.  Details of these are in our weekly sheet or alternatively, keep an eye on the calendar as service dates & times can be found there.
