Rainbow Tree 2021

The rainbow has frequently been used as a symbol of hope during the pandemic. This has its roots in the story of Noah, where God sent a rainbow as a sign that he would not let the flood happen again. It is especially relevant at this time of year because  the thought of Jesus rising on the first Easter Day gives Christians new hope and fresh purpose.

Felicity Poole, Julia Hayes and Daniel Underwood decorated the yew tree in All Saints’ churchyard in preparation for the children of Botley School adorning it with rainbows, as a sign of hope for the future.
