Choir
All Saints is especially lucky to have David Burgess as its Director of Music and Organist. David is a consummate musician and rules the choir with a rod of good humour and patience. Members of the choir are a friendly bunch and come in all shapes and sizes but all have a great love of sacred music. The robed choir leads the musical worship of the church at the 10.00am Communion Service and sings Choral Evensong on the 1st Sunday of each month, except for the month of August when its members are on holiday. The choir also sings at weddings, funerals and some special services. The music varies greatly from Anglican Chant, which was developed at the time of the English Reformation, to more contemporary works. The choir, as part of All Saints’ Chamber Choir, presents a concert of sacred music each Good Friday, and sings Fauré’s Requiem within a Book of Common Prayer Communion Service on Remembrance Sunday.

The choir also engages with the wider community, for example, singing carols around the Christmas tree in Botley Square and playing a full role in Botley Music Festivals. The choir often presents concerts of a more secular nature and has performed in several Last Night of the Proms concerts. Choir practice takes place on Fridays at 6.30pm in the Maffey Room. We welcome both adults and also young people for our Junior Choir. If you are interested in finding out more use the form under Contact us below or David directly at DB19JR@aol.com.

Bell Ringers
We ring before Sunday services at 9.30am at Botley and 10.00am at Curdridge. We practise at Botley from 8pm to 9pm on Thursdays and at Curdridge from 7.30pm to 9pm on Mondays (except Bank Holidays). We also ring after weddings by request. Ringing outside these times takes place occasionally, for example when a visiting band wishes to ring our bells. Visitors are always welcome to our practices. Contact Anthony Manship (Botley) or Robin Milford (Curdridge) using the form under Contact us below for further details.
