Activities for Families
We have good connections with our local schools with each church having a primary school in their parish.

Below are activities throughout the week and seasonal events which are more family and child orientated:

Messy Church
We meet on a Friday at 3.30pm once a month during the school year rotating between the 3 churches for fun, crafts and a meal, finishing around 5.30pm.

Free entry, donations welcome. Aimed at primary school age children but younger children are also welcomed as we have a range of toddler-friendly toys to keep little ones occupied. Older children are welcome to attend and join in, or can help lead a craft activity or even help prepare the meal! Children must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult. The next date is June 9th at Durley Primary School.

Read our ‘What is Messy Church‘ guide and a review.
Junior Choir
Our Junior Choir joins the adult choir in Botley on 2 Sundays a month at our 10am service with rehearsals on Friday evenings at 6pm. We encourage children to sing and take a full part in what the adults are singing. Further information is available from our Director of Music, David Burgess at DB19JR@aol.com.

Mother & Baby Group (Flutterbies)
You are very welcome to bring your parent/carer to help you explore a variety of toys, enjoy some messy craft activity, join in singing simple action songs and make new friends. Tea or coffee is available for adults.
We meet in Botley Church room from 9.45 am until 11.45 am every Tuesday morning, during school term time. Stay for the whole session or drop in when you can during the morning.

NB Unfortunately currently we have not restarted Flutterbies following the pandemic but watch this space!
Seasonal Services and Events
Throughout the year we run special events such as the Easter Trail involving clues around the village in Botley with a special prize for those who complete it. We hold Christingle services in each church where we assemble our oranges with candles and sweets. On Christmas Eve there are the crib services where children can dress up and join in the anticipation of Christmas. In June we have the Durley Fete with plenty of pocket money priced games for children and Curdridge holds an annual bonfire in November.
